The book of James refers to single-minded faith as a perquisite to not being pushed around by the winds (see James 1:5-8). As a Christian, this is always the challenge. The winds of culture are always going to blow and we are always going to be affected by those winds. We are in the middle of several cultural storms right now. Christians are to learn the skill of tacking across the wind and utilizing the power that is intrinsic in followers of Christ.
