Lakeview Community Garden

You are welcomed to our property with a beautiful community garden at one of the entrances.
This garden is both a ministry to our community, and a gift to our neighborhood.
The community garden is open for anyone to sign up and participate in, both church members and local neighbors.  Each gardener receives a garden plot to plant, maintain and harvest without charge.
Our hope is to use this garden as an opportunity to bless our neighbors and our community.  If they grow and receive healthy food, they get something good.  If they receive a sense of community among the gardeners, they receive something better.  If they know and receive Christ, then get the very best.

Classes are open to anyone, whether you garden with us or not.  They are usually on Saturdays from 10 AM to noon with time for Q & A after. We will try to post a summary here afterwards for anyone who couldn’t make it (or for folks who just have a terrible memory).
  • Gardening 101 – Our first-ever class went very well. Thanks to Ben and Kim for giving us such great information! Notes from this class can be found here.
  • In addition to the classes we offer, Harvest Pierce County and Pierce County Public Works teach classes every month in their Edible Garden Series.  The classes meet in various cities across the county, with the closest location to our garden being the Parkland Library. Classes are free but it is recommended that you pre-register.
