Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

There’s a quip (or maybe a proverb?) that goes like this: “It’s better to be silent and thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.” People have attributed the quote to Mark Twain, Abraham Lincoln, and several others. Whoever said it first probably has infringed on God’s intellectual property. Proverbs 17:28 says “Even a fool who keeps silent is considered wise; when he closes his lips, he is deemed intelligent.” In an age of oversharing – we will take a look at the Biblical counsel about when NOT to talk.
