Q&A: How Do We Know Revelation Belongs in the New Testament – Part A
This belongs to a bigger question that I often get asked - the process of canonization. Which books belong in the "New Testament Canon." Sometimes it's asked, "How do we know which books are inspired?" Tonight we will spend some time unpacking the idea of canonization. And Revelation.

    Increase Our Faith
    Luke 17:1-10
We know a good thing when we see it. We know a good person when we meet them. We know a good deal when it is offered to us. We just don’t always know how to model what is good. Jesus tells His disciples that what you seek you will imitate.

    Alien Chronicles
    1 Peter 2:1-12

Jesus never promised us a rose garden. In fact, He told us to be ready for harsh treatment from those outside the church. He, in His great prayer recorded in John 17, recognized that we are in the world, but we should not be of it. We should not fit in. We are from another realm and we are temporary in this world.

    What Is Truth?
    John 18:33-38
Christianity makes specific truth claims and based on these claims, calls it’s individual members to commitment. When a person considers becoming a Christian, or when a Christian is moving through a season of doubt, they ask the question, What is Truth? As Pilate directly encounters Jesus, he asks the same question. His answer becomes the defining decision of his life. The fate of humanity hangs in the balance.

    World Bible School
Brother Paul Renganathan is joining us from Chennai, India. Paul founded the World Bible School preacher training school there a little over 30 years ago, and the ministry has expanded to include medical care, job training, water wells and other outreach to the diverse populations of south Asia. Their students currently serve in many other countries, and have planted well over 1000 churches. We will be sharing an ice cream social after Brother Paul speaks to us this evening. Come listen, talk, and maybe imagine ways to outreach to our own community!

    Grace Has Appeared
    Titus 2:11-3:5a
We agree with John Newton, acknowledging that God’s grace is amazing! God’s action in history demonstrates His kindness and mercy. He knows that sin has brought with it a culture of death and violence, in this environment, people feel out of place. When we realize our lost we are, God’s grace appears to us.

    A Time to Speak
    Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
Today words mean less than they ever have. Last week's lesson on silence provides some ancient wisdom for the modern world, but Scripture is clear that God's people must speak about some things. We are to stand up for justice and we are to proclaim the truth of Christ. Speak less. Speak what matters.

    Is Life Worth Living?
    Philippians 1:12-20
This question is often asked by people because in their heart of hearts, as they view life through the lens of their own lives, they think the answer is a resounding no. I used to feel that way. I asked myself this question when I was 20 years old and found the answer in the death of Christ. For in the death of Christ, we find life.
