Finding God’s Will Any “witch” Way You Can
By: Dennis Baker
Series: A Work in Progress
1 Samuel 28:1-27
People need to hear from God. He has communicated to humans in many ways over the vast span of time. God’s word is clear and generally easy to understand. Some statements He makes are very bold. Others are filled with compassion and love. His desire is that we would seek Him, because He is close. But if you are living in opposition to His will, it will be hard to hear.

1 Corinthians 9:19-27
Did you ever almost win? There is something that awakens in a person when they find themselves there. Did you ever almost win, and give up, so insuring the loss? What is the difference between these scenarios? Each individual has the ability within them to win. It may be at a different level than others, but it is still there. I can guarantee that you will never win if you give up. - Mar 20, 2016You Can Handle the Truth!

Luke 14:25-35
We were made for greatness! It is important that we understand that truth. Jesus has been where we are and He knows our potential. That is why He doesn’t sugar coat His calling in our lives. When we settle for mediocrity our lives in Christ will lack joy and power. He gives it to us straight, because we can handle the truth. - Mar 13, 2016Between The Rock and a Hard Place

1 Samuel 27:1-12
The day that David left the land of Israel and moved to the land of the Philistines, he made a decision that had unintended consequences. Had he known, perhaps he would have done things differently. That is the problem with big decisions. It is also the motivation to be people who strive to follow the will of God, which is a filter for the decisions we make. - Mar 13, 2016Ungodly Parenting

Proverbs 1:8-9
Few of us are born into being parenting experts. For the rest of us, it's On the Job Training. All we really know is It's not going to be like our parents did to us. This makes parenting even harder. It's tough to know what to do, when you spend all your time thinking about what not to do. This Sunday I want to offer one principle that, if you apply it in your family, will radically transform your house, and will have a lasting impact on your kids, and their faith. - Mar 6, 2016Nothing Good is Going to Come From This

1 Samuel 25:1-12
When we find ourselves in a difficult circumstance, we usually have options. We can choose to either react or act. That is the purpose for on-going Bible study. We are filling our minds and hearts with knowledge that we will draw on when needed. David had a desire to do what is right, but in this narrative, we see trouble coming. - Mar 6, 2016It Isn’t Child’s Play

Psalm 127:3-5
The Bible describes children as arrows in the hands of a warrior. I've shot arrows and I know for a fact that they don't go where they're supposed to. That's probably because I'm not an excellent archer. Greater skill, time, and attention is needed to launch an arrow and hit the bulls eye. Maybe you could argue that kids are the same. Most of us can have kids, but nurturing, teaching, and launching them is a lot harder. This morning we will go over some principles that will help your kids launch well. - Feb 28, 2016He Must Increase and I Must Decrease

1 Samuel 24:5-11
With the passing of days, complications in life ebb and flow. That means I must dig deeper in my faith as life becomes more complicated. Is there something there to dig out? That is what today is all about. We are to be active disciples, constantly changing and growing. When you get to the end of your days, that is all you will have. - Feb 28, 2016Scripture Twisting

2 Peter 3:14 -18
Adding head knowledge carries the risk of legalism. Legalism is basically adding my own rules to God’s rules. My rules and my ideas are fine for me but I cannot bind them on others or expect others to feel compelled to follow them. Coming to scripture with my agenda can have dangerous consequences. Faithful disciples Examine the Scriptures Daily. - Feb 21, 2016Treasures in Heaven

Luke 12:16-21; Luke 18:27-29
Sometimes I think we get the wrong answers because we're asking the wrong questions. Churches spend a lot of time with how people live life. While that's valuable to discuss, it's probably not nearly as valuable as asking why. All of us have the privilege to live life, but few of us will take the time to ask why?
